The MEC Division of Oriimec will showcase three of its spring forming machines at Spring World, presented by the Chicago Association of Spring Manufacturers Inc., Oct. 3-5 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill.
SH-8 1-Point Wire Forming Machine
The company’s SH-8 wire bending machine has been fully revamped for greater operability and high-speed production. The spring machine features 1-point coiling with a wire diameter of 0.1 to 0.8 mm, torsion attachment and an initial tension servo.
The SH-8 coiling machine is well-suited for torsion springs, elliptical springs and standard cylindrical springs. The machine comes equipped with seven standard axes: feed, cut, pitch, point, torsion, initial tension and MSD-1.
WH-16 Coiling Machine
MEC’s 7-axis WH-16 spring machine comes equipped with a freely oscillating rotary cut, which enables cost-effective, high-speed and high-accuracy production in reduced preparation time.
This unit handles wire diameters of 0.5 to 1.6 mm and includes a rotating servo. The wire forming system includes MEC’s newly-developed specialist MNO program for spring production, which offers simple and precise operations.
CLS-16II Extension Spring Machine
MEC’s CLS-16II dedicated extension spring machine handles wire diameters of 0.5 to 1.6 mm. This unit offers high-speed production of English loops and bicyclic loops while also improving the ease of manufacturing of German hooks and U hooks.
The CLS-16II features 11-axis control, which enables many locations to be controlled by values, including the coiling point for 3D operations.
