Erlanger, Ky. — With only one TM-3 in the country, and two others on order, this extraordinary new wire former is a must-see at this year’s Spring World show.
The 12-axis TM-3 wire forming machine can make wire sizes from 0.002″ to 0.012″ and features the following:
- Servo-controlled Quill rotation
- 8 Servo-operated Tooling Slides
- Servo-controlled Wire Feed
- R-R Servo Spinner
- 16 independent servomotor axes available
- Dimensions, angles, and parallelism can be adjusted or corrected via programming.
- One machine for many different kinds of springs are wire forms.
You can see the new TM-3 at MEC’s booth (#1105) at CASMI Spring World 2004, Oct. 14-15 in Chicago, IL.
Starting with its first coiling machines in 1972, MEC has developed more than 30 different spring machines, including CNC multi-axis spring formers, CNC coiling machines for ultra-fine wire, NC spring formers and extension spring machines, and torsion spring machines. Today, more than 5,000 MEC machines are at work in North America, Europe, Southeast Asia and Japan. MEC engineers coordinate the development of original software and hardware systems to meet each spring-maker’s unique machine design needs. Every part of every MEC machine is subjected to stringent testing to ensure that it meets the highest standards for precision and performance.
